Serious injuries in wreck Sunday night on Hwy. 151

Troy Tuck, 32, Red Boiling Springs, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries in a one vehicle accident on the North Springs Road, about two miles from Red Boiling Springs. The accident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30.

Tuck was transported to Erlinger Medical Center in Chattanooga by the Macon County EMS, reported to have suffered a badly broken leg and hip in the incident.

According to the official THP Traffic Crash Report, Tuck's red Chevrolet S-10 pickup was traveling north on Hwy. 151 when it ran off the right side of the road and hit a utility pole. The vehicle traveled 150 feet before hitting a culvert and came to a rest on its nose in a ditch.

Tuck was charged with 3rd offense DUI by THP Trooper Gerald Carter, who investigated the accident. Carter was assisted in the accident investigation and traffic control by Macon County Sheriff's deputies and THP Tpr. Danny Fisher.
