Due to rain cancellations, the Macon County Junior High baseball team hosted the Livingston Wildcats for their first game of the season on Saturday, March 22, at the Rowland Kirby babe Ruth Field.
In a close battle of innings, the Wildcats finally out played the Jr. High Tigers winning with a score of 7-5.
Livingston earned two runs in the first inning of the game.
In the bottom of the first, Macon County players Shane Hesson, Andrew Kempf, and Dallas Grace earned points on the scoreboard.
Livingston score five runs in the top of the second, bringing the score up to 7-3.
Macon County didn't give up the fight. The Tigers were able to score three more runs by the end of the game by Tyler Clark stealing home on a catcher's error, followed by Shane Hesson and Jacob McClard running home on RBI's.
The Macon County Junior High Tigers will play their next game at home on March 29 against Southside, beginning at 11 a.m.
