Mrs. Nell passed away Saturday evening, February 23, 2008 at her residence.
Nell Forkum Owen was born February 20, 1916, in Jackson, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Willie P. and Rosa Ann Cherry Forkum. On November 10, 1934, she married William Chester, better known as Chet, Owen, who preceded her in death on December 7, 2000. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Hollis Darrell Owen, sister, Freda Forkum, and brothers, Don and Duke Forkum. She was a member of the Bethany Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, former Cook at Red Boiling Springs High School and served as an Aid at the former Red Boiling Springs Head Start.
Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law; Dixie & Bobby Morgan, Red Boiling Springs, TN, son & daughter-in-law; Howell Eugene & Dean Owen, Arlington, TX, granddaughters; Lesa Kimbrow and husband, David, Arlington, TX, Beverly Tuck, Red Boiling Springs, grandson; Ronnie Morgan and wife, Angie of Red Boiling Springs, great-grandchildren; Spencer & Cayley Tuck, Owen Morgan, Leah Morton and husband, Curtis, Kelsi & Logan Musmeccil, great-great-grandchild, Kaitlin Morton.
