Mark Aaron Brown, of Lafayette, died at the age of 19 on Tuesday evening, February 5, 2008, from injuries sustained from the tornado that swept through Macon County. Funeral services for Mark Aaron Brown were conducted from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home on Saturday, February 9, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. with Brother Charles Carr officiating.

William McCathran, Terry Woodard, Dustin Jones, Leonard Latham, Rex Y. Whitecotton, III, and Tony Thomas served as pallbearers. Burial followed in the Macon County Memorial Garden.

Born Mark Aaron Brown in Gallatin, Tennessee, on August 28, 1988 the son of Mark Allen Brown and Michelle Carr Cline, who survives. A sister, Keisha Cline preceded him in death. He was a 2007 graduate of Macon County High School. Besides his father and mother, he is survived by half brothers, James Tyler Cline and James Michael Buhl; half sisters, Destiny Michelle Cline and Jessica Lee Lamb; paternal grandparents, Fairlyn Stinson and James A. Brown, both of Lafayette; maternal grandparents, Charles D. Carr and Janice Todd, both of Westmoreland.
