A Crew from Red Baron will be at the Sheriff's Department cooking for anyone until 7:30 PM on Saturday night February 9.
* ANIMAL RECOVERY INFORMATION
County Agent Steve Walker said on Saturday, Feb. 9 that many barns and fences had been destroyed by the tornado, and anyone who had large livestock (horses, cattle, donkeys, sheep, pigs or goats) which needed to be contained and fed, may bring them to Brownings Livestock Market in Lafayette. Food, water and forage will be provided. Donations of feed and hay in particular are welcomed.
"Fifty head of livestock had been brought in Friday, and we expect another 60 head on Saturday," Walker said.
Call Walker on his cell phone for more information at 888-6167. Volunteer who have already donated feed, hay and panels to contain the animals are warmly thanked.
A livestock sale is set for this coming Thursday so that owners who have no way to contain or feed their stock may sell them then.
SMALL ANIMAL RECOVERY AND HOUSING INFORMATION
USDA veterinary official Justin Henson said there is a facility set up at the Macon County Fairgrounds at the Crops Building, near the Ray Goad Building to house small animals in need of shelter. To claim or report missing animals you may call 666-9373.

The Red Cross has requested everyone in tornado path to please call SAFE and Well 1-866-Get INFO 1-866 438-4636. Registering your name and status will allow family members to know status.
All person's affected by this storm should call as many people are still unaccounted for.

* PEOPLE IN NEED OF HOUSING
FEMA has set up a mobile center at the National Guard Armory for people with no insurance or insufficient insurance, or in need of help finding temporary housing at the Lafayette National Guard Armory. To call FEMA for further information dial 1-800-621-FEMA.
* RED CROSS ACCEPTING MONETARY DONATIONS TORNADO VICTIMS
NASHVILLE (February 7, 2008) ®C The Nashville Area Red Cross has been working diligently around the clock to meet the emergency needs of the Tennessee tornado victims. Volunteers are leading feeding operations and currently distributing more than 3,000 meals and snacks each day to those affected by the storms, first responders, TEMA, fire and police departments and Red Cross volunteers and staff. Volunteers are also in Sumner, Trousdale and Macon counties conducting disaster assessment, assessing the damage to each home.
After disaster assessment is complete, our volunteers will be interviewing each family and providing assistance based each individual family
