Tigerettes Succumb To Bitter Defeat

The Macon County Tigers and Tigerettes took on the Westmoreland Eagles last Tuesday at home.

In the first quarter of the girl's game, Katelyn Gregory, Courtney Clark, and Kara Wix each scored 2 points, and Brooke Bowers scored 3 points. The Eagles scored 12 points to take the lead at the end of the first with a score of 12-9.

During the second quarter, the Tigerettes scored 7 points. Katelyn Gregory and Courtney Clark each scored 2 points and Brooke Bowers scored 3 points. The Eagles scored 11 points making the score 23-16 at half time, the Eagles still in the lead.

Coming back to the third quarter, Brooke Bowers and Courtney Clark each scored 2 points for the Tigerettes. The Eagles scored 14 points making the score 37-20 at the end of the third, the Eagles still ahead.

In the final quarter of the game, Courtney Clark, Kara Wix, and Katelyn Gregory each scored 2 points. The Eagles scored 8 points in the fourth making the final score of the game 45-26, the Eagles taking the victory.

In the first quarter of the boy's game, Austin Kemp scored 9 points. Kyle Grace and Coty Harris each scored 2 points, and Cody Boone scored 5 points. The Eagles scored 4 points to make the score 18-4 at the end of the first, the Tigers taking the lead.

During the second quarter, Kyle Grace scored 4 points. Jeremy Phillips, Brandon Tuttle, Adam Chambers, Brett West, and Joseph Woodward each scored 2 points, and Austin Kemp scored 6 points. The Eagles scored 20 points, making the score 38-24 at half time, Tigers still in the lead.

The Tigers scored 15 points during the third quarter. Brandon Tuttle scored 8 points, Jeremy Phillips scored 5 points, and Cody Boone scored 2 points. The Eagles scored 13 points to make the score 53-37, Tigers still in the lead.

In the final quarter of the game, Kyle Grace scored 4 points. Austin Kemp scored 5 points, Brandon Tuttle scored 6 points, and Cody Boone scored 2 points. Jeremy Phillips scored 3 points, and Andrew Evetts scored 2 points. The Eagles scored 18 points in the fourth quarter making the final score of the game 75-55, the Tigers taking the victory.
