Mr. Leon Vondell Knight, age 88, of Franklin, KY, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 7:30 a.m. at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Arrangements were under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services were held Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

A native of Macon County, TN, he was the son of the late David Hooker Knight, Jr. and the late Pearlie Mae Freeman Knight. He was preceded in death by a son, Vondell Junior Knight and 8 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Delcie King Knight; daughters, Regina Coker and Cheryl Newton; sons, Jym, Ray, and John Knight, all of Franklin, KY; a sister, Lois Knight McGree of Lafayette, TN; a brother, J.B. Knight of Indianapolis, IN; and 7 grandchildren, Jeremy Knight, Tanner Pinson, Eric Pinson, Jacob Knight, Adrianna Knight, Adam Groves, and Nathan Knight and 4 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Knight was a former owner of I 65 Gulf Station.

Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home, Franklin, KY, in charge of arrangements.
