Dawes Claims 1st Place In CTF Nationals

Lacia Dawes age 9, of Lafayette, traveled to Murfreesboro to enter into the CTF Nationals, along with other members of the Taekwando Fitness Karate School, November 17, 2007.

A 4th degree green belt in karate, Dawes claimed 1st place in the sparring event and 1st place in the patterns event among her division.

The young karate champion studies under instruction of Ricky Jones at Taekwando Fitness, Lafayette.

“Lacia has been a student for fourteen months. She is an exceptional student and learns very quickly. Lacia has progressed in every way that she can,” Instructor Ricky Jones said.

Lacia's proud parents are Kenna and Thelma McDonald and Robert Dawes and Margaret Paxson.
