Among the five boy runners selected, Macon County High School Junior Brandon Mahaney was named to the first boys All-Mid State team.
The Tennessean commented that Mahaney was chosen by winning the Class A/AA state meet in 16:24.48, and had the area's second fastest time at the state meet.
Macon County High School Junior Steven Snyder was named to the boys third team among other runners from David Lipscomb, MBA, FRA, and USN.
