The Mid-State Cross Country Association held its annual banquet to honor the All MSCCA teams Monday night, October 29 at Brentwood Academy.
The Mid-State Association each year names an All-Mid-State team for both boys and girls in both A-AA and AAA classifications.
Fifteen athletes are named to each team on the basis of their composite performances throughout the season in selected meets.
The selection of the All-Mid-State team is made on the basis of two times which are combined into a single composite time for each runner.
The two times used were taken from the following meets: Mid-State Pre-Season Meet and the Mid-State Championships.
Fifteen runners with the lowest composite times in each division are named to the All-Mid-State team. In addition, the runner with the smallest composite time is named Mid-State Most Valuable Runner.
In girl's division A-AA, MCHS Sophomore Simone Ilia placed in fourteenth place with the composite time of 24:04 + 22:54 = 46:58.
In boy's division A-AA, MCHS held the number one and number two spots.
MCHS Junior Brandon Mahaney was entered in first place with a composite time of 17:15 + 16:03 = 33:18.
MCHS Junior Steven Snyder placed second with a composite time of 17:53 + 17:00 = 34:53.
