Macon County 911 2008 Meeting Announcement

The Macon County 911 Board Meeting will convene at 1:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each quarter at the Macon County EMS Classroom located at 30 Weldon Drive in Lafayette, Tennessee. The dates of the meetings are: January 9, 2008 at 1:30 p.m.; April 9, 2008 at 1:30 p.m.; July 9, 2008 at 1:30 p.m.; and October 8, 2008 at 1:30 p.m.

Macon Co. Democratic Party meeting

Meeting will be held Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 7 p.m. at the Macon County Justice Center. All Democrats are urged to attend.

Smith Chapel United Methodist Church to host yard sale

Yard sale will be held at 252 Main St., (across from Bray's Market) in Red Boiling Springs on November 3 at 8:00. All proceeds will be used to help women, children, and youth in our areas. Your support will be appreciated.

Hope Family Health Services 1st Annual Christmas Arts, Crafts & Bake Sale

Will be held November 17, 2007 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Westmoreland VFW. We would appreciate any donations of Christmas items, crafts or baked goods. Donations may be given to any Hope Clinic employee. We will also need volunteers to help us that day. Rippling Hope Missions Benefit November 10

Benefit will be held Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. at Portland Masonic Lodge at 505 Hwy. 52 East, Portland, Tennessee. All proceeds will benefit Jamaica Missions. Vegetarian Cooking Classes Nov. 12, 13 & 14

You are invited to come and experience a healthier way of eating and learning to cook vegetarian style meals. Classes will be held November 12th, 13th, and 14th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. each night in the Community Building at 997 Hwy. 52 E., located behind Anderson Funeral Home and across from Macon County High School. Food samples of the prepared dishes will be available to those who are interested in trying them. Coat & Toy Drive sponsored by Cash Express

We will be accepting toys, coats, shoes (washable), & nonperishable food items at many drop off locations in the area.
