Hi, my name is Barry King and I am the coach of the Macon County Jr. High Girls Soccer Team. Let me start by saying that I am very proud of my team and all of the local businesses and supporters that we have had this season. A big thanks goes out to all of the businesses that bought signs to hang up on the fence at the track/soccer field. The money helped the Jr. High Soccer Team and the Track Teams. Also, it is time to renew the signs or purchase one for the first time. You can contact me, Barry King at 666-5740 or Chuck Sandifer at 666-6038. A Special Thanks goes out to Dr. Hanna Ilia, Charlie Adams, Chris Crowder, Barry Brawner, Adrian Powell, Mark Gammons, Carl Dobbs, David Doss, Bobby Bransford, Phillip Stafford, Mike Prock, Darrell Law, Jeff Whittemore, Tim Case Macon County School Board, and Macon County Maintenance Department.

We had 6 to make the All Tournament Team, Haley Harris, Ashlyn Smith, Ashley Gregory, Kelsey Gregory, Saige Hesson, and Kailyn Brooks.

Barry King was named Middle Tennessee Soccer Conference Coach of the year.

This was the 2nd year in a row that the girls won the tournament.

We had a sports banquet for the girls on September 28, 2007 at the MCJHS. MVP was Kailyn Brooks, Offensive MVP was Haley Harris, Defensive MVP was Jessica Vaughn, Most Scores was Saige Hesson, Most Assist was Ashley Gregory, Miss Dependable was Kelsey Gregory, Most Improved was Ashlyn Smith, Coaches Award was Rebecca Ballou, Academic Award was Sarah Shrum, and Miss Grit Award was Whitney Wilburn.

The girls had a great year this season. I can not tell you girls how proud that I am of each one of you. You will always have a special place in my heart.

I want to thank my assistant coaches David Doss, Dr. Ilia, Christine Harris and Emily Harris for helping do everything. I would also like to thank the parents for your support this season. This is a great group of young ladies that we have, and it has been a privilege to be their coach. I am looking forward to next year. Good Luck and Have fun in High School to the 8th graders. I have enjoyed coaching you that last 2 years.

Thank you Girls,

Barry King
