MCHS Lose Heartbreaker Homecoming To Owls

The Macon County Tigers played their homecoming game last Friday night against the Smith County Owls.

The Tigers were unable to get into the end zone during the first quarter. However, the Owls put up 13 points.

During the second quarter, the Owls scored another touchdown while their defense held the Tigers scoreless. Going in at half time, the score was 20-0.

Coming back from half time, both teams were held scoreless in the 3rd quarter.

In the final quarter of the game, the Owls scored a touchdown and their defense once again stopped the Tigers from seeing the end zone making the final score of the game 27-0, Owls taking the victory.

The Tigers had 10 first downs. Kyle Grace had 10 rushes for 13 yards, Lance Reid had 2 rushes for 26 yards, Marcus Thompson had 12 rushes for 14 yards, and Allen Whitaker had 5 rushes for 14 yards. Kyle Grace had 6 completions for 61 yards with 2 interceptions.

Chris Bohanon 2 receptions for 14 yards, Lance Reid had 2 receptions for 19 yards, and Allen Whitaker had 2 receptions for 28 yards.

The Tigers have next week off and will face the Station Camp Bison in Gallatin Friday, October 12.
