There were 14 teams entered and they were split into 2 pools of seven teams each.
Macon County placed first in their Pool with a record of 5 wins and 1 loss.
On Friday night, in Pool play, MCHS defeated Lebanon 25-16 in each game.
MCHS downed White House 25-13 and 25-21 but fell to Wilson Central 15-25, 25-20, and 10-15.
On Saturday morning, MCHS still had three teams to play in their Pool and excitingly defeated all three teams: St. Cecillis 19-25, 25-22, and 15-9: Riverdale 25-17, 22-25, and 15-8: and Elizabethton 25-13 and 25-15.
This placed MCHS first in their Pool and was scheduled to play the fourth place team of the other Pool (Friendship Christian) in the first round of the single elimination tournament.
MCHS defeated the fourth place seeded Friendship Christian, 25-21 and 25-23.
This win advanced MCHS to the Semi-Finals to play St. Cecillia again, which MCHS defeated earlier in Pool play.
MCHS fell short in their 5th match of the day to St. Cecillia in the Semi-Finals, 21-25, 25-23, 8-15.
The teams overall record for the Tournament was 6 wins and 2 losses.
MCHS Tigerettes will travel to Mt. Juliet for district play September 25.
Macon County High School will host a volleyball tournament on September 29 in the Macon County Gymnasium.
