MCJHS Defeats Trousdale
Macon County traveled to Hartsville Tuesday, September 11, to bring home a victory win of 30-8.
MCJHS Tiger's Chase Greenhalgh and Jake Salyer started off the game with two touchdowns in the first half, making score 12-0 at half-time.
Eliminating most offensive and defensive plays that Trousdale County attempted.
On 2nd and goal from the four yard line, Jacob McClard caught the pass from Dallas Grace in the in-zone for a Tiger Touchdown, 18-0 with 3:24 left in the third quarter.
The Jr. Yellow Jackets failed to pick up a first down thus far in the game.
With 1:11 left in the third quarter, Jr. Tiger Landon Hassard completed a 40 yard touchdown on an “Amazing Grace” pass.
Landon Hassard stepped up in front of Grace like he was going to block. Instead, he made a pocket for Grace to transfer the ball to him. Hassard broke through a tackle and was gone, explained WEEN announcer Tim Case.
Trousdale County finally picked up their first 1st down, with :25 left in the third quarter, that led to the first score of the night for the Jr. Jackets with a 66 yard touchdown and the 2 pt. conversion good, making the score 24-8.
In the fourth quarter, Landon Hassard completed another touchdown for the Tigers, putting the final score 30-8.
