The 2007 Quarterback Club Tigers Football Camp was held last week for boys ages 6 through 14 who were interested in learning the fundamentals of playing football.

Coaches from Macon County High School, Macon County Junior High School, and volunteer's connected with Pee Wee football and the Tiger's Traveling Team came together to teach techniques that will prove to be very useful as the boys mature in their football playing career.

Coaches instructed position drills including: lineman, running back, quarterback, and receiving.

Members of the MCHS football team also helped with the camp. The high school football team members showed the boys how they accomplished feats such as catching the football, keeping their eyes planted on their opponent as they maneuvered their body in a different direction, and most importantly, how to listen to their coach.

Pee Wee Football and the Tiger's Traveling Team players have already begun practicing for the upcoming season. Football camp has given them a great start in knowing what to expect out on the football field.
