Wade Draper, Jr., age 81, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, July 6th, 2007 at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services for Wade Draper, Jr. were conducted on Monday, July 9th at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Pastor John Barnes officiating. Duane Haley, Justin Haley, Larry Driver ll, Billy Phillips, Devan Haley and Todd Ancelet served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park with military honors.

Wade Draper, Jr. was born on April 28th, 1926 in Macon County, TN to the late Wade and Altie (Kirby) Draper. Besides his parents, wife, Sarah (Stevens) Draper, wife Mary Francis Hopkins, sister, Gracie May Morgan and step-son Eddie Haley preceded him in death. He was a retired power line construction worker for TVA.  He also was in the United States Army, and served his country in WWll and the Korean War.  

He is survived by, daughter: Teresa Draper Talley of Elora, TN; step-son, E. J. (Virginia) Haley of Indianapolis, IN; step-daughters, Brenda (Larry) Driver of Lebanon, TN, Sandra Ford of Lafayette, 8 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
