Red Boiling Shut Out Clay County Twice In A Row

The site, where the game was played, didn't matter much as the Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs took home a victory from the Clay County Bulldogs, on April 23, with a score of 10 - 0.

RBS sent Clay County home with a loss of 6 - 8, on April 24.

Jasper Turner pitched Clay County a lot of walks in the opening frame, which led CCHS to complete three, easy runs.

The Red Boiling Bulldogs scored its lone run In the bottom of the first asTrey Leonard came across the plate on Kyle Ray's single.

In the second, Jake Stiles pitched a lot of missed strikes, but Clay County went on to connect two more runs, making the score 5 - 1.

Red Boiling capitalized quickly as Jasper Turner slammed a double to right field. Jotham Jones and Joe Atkins, took one for the team, with a hit in the leg and shoulder, loading up the bases. Jake Stiles single, sent Turner and Jones across the plate, making the score, 5 - 3.

RBS defense sat Clay County down in order, through out the rest of the game, until one last run was made, in the sixth inning.

The RBS Bulldogs claimed four more runs by, Patrick Berry, Travis Lawson, Brandon Kelly, Jake Stiles, but the dogs weren't finished yet. RBS extended their lead with a home run, hit by Trey Leonard.

Patrick Berry pitched three strike out's in a row, in the top of the sixth, before the game ended, with a final score of 8 - 6.

The Bulldogs continue their road trip Saturday, April 28, as they take on Monroe County High School.
