Funeral Services for Louise Smalling Smith, age 83, a resident of The Palace in Red Boiling Springs, TN were conducted Tuesday afternoon, March 27, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Elder Chris Crowder and Reverend Tom Compton officiating. Her friends served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Smith Chapel Cemetery.

Louise Smith passed away Sunday evening, March 25, 2007 at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, TN.

She was born June 18, 1923 in Macon County, TN, the daughter of the late Allen and Pearl Hargis Smalling. She was married to Fred H. Smith, who preceded her in death. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Smith, sisters, Willa Dean Goodwin, Lorene Bray and Georgia Smalling and her brother, Bennett Smalling. She was a former employee with the Bill Martin's Cee Bee in Red Boiling Springs, TN and a member of the Long Fork Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include: sons, Fred (Sue Lynne) Smith Jr.-Red Boiling Springs, TN, Doug (Brenda) Smith-Hermitage Springs Community, Hugh Wayne (Alma) Smith-Red Boiling Springs, TN; sister-Geraldine Joines-Red Boiling Springs, TN; brother-Dennis (Joyce) Smalling-Nashville, TN; Granddaughter, Tracy (Randy) Carver, Lafayette, TN; Grandsons, Neel (Tammy) Smith, Red Boiling Springs, TN, Jason (Michelle) Smith, Cookeville, TN, Jonathan Smith, Hermitage Springs, TN, Hugh Wayne Smith, Jr., Red Boiling Springs, TN; Great-grandchildren, Ben & Jordan Carver, Parker, Peyton, Brandon, Brianna & Skyii Smith.
