Macon County Democratic Party to hold County Convention

The Macon County Democratic Party will hold a County Convention for Reorganization on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 12:00 noon. The meeting will take place at the Macon County Justice Center.

We will elect a Chairperson, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and two Executive Committee Members-at-Large for the Macon County Democratic Party for 2007-2009. This meeting will involve open discussion and opportunities for county residents to express ideas and thoughts about the future.

All Democratic Party residents who are eligible voters of Macon County are urged to attend.

Rotary Pancake Breakfast April 13 & 14

The breakfast will be held Friday and Saturday, Apr. 13 & 14, at the Citizens Bank on Hwy. 52 in Lafayette. The price is the same as last year, $5.00 per meal. Serving begins at 6 a.m.

The Macon County Senior Center is moving the Bingo game that is currently being played on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at the Bill Speck Building will be moved to the Macon County Senior Center on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 9 a.m.

MCGH Volunteer Fund Raiser

The public is invited to participate in a Book Fair fundraising event sponsored by the Macon County General Hospital Volunteer Program. The sale will be Thursday, March 29, 2007 from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Macon County General Hospital. Proceeds from the sale will be used to fund the activities, including academic scholarships, sponsored by the hospital's volunteer program.

Mandatory MCJH Football meeting

There will be a mandatory team meeting on Thursday, April 5 at 6:00 p.m. in the MCJH auditorium.
