Ardith Mae Witcher of Scottsville, KY died at 1:35 a.m. Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. The Allen County, KY native was a former employee of Hillcrest Nursing Home, a homemaker, a General Baptist, and attended Mt. Carmel and Freedom General Baptist Churches. She was a daughter of the late Lewis Walter Victory, Sr. and Fennie Ella Ross Victory and wife of the late John Ray Witcher.

She is survived by a son, Andrew “Fummy” Witcher and wife, Regina, Scottsville, KY; daughters, Jean Ranson and husband, Bud and Lucille “Sue” Payne and husband, W.D., all of Scottsville, KY; a step-daughter-in-law, Mildred Witcher, Scottsville, KY; a brother, Jr. Victory and wife, Jo, Bowling Green, KY; granddaughters, Cammie Sue Joiner and husband, Matt and Angie Mae Grizzle and husband, Willie, all of Scottsville, KY; great-grandchildren, Ashley Boyd, Lori Joiner, Harley Joiner, and Holly Grizzle, all of Scottsville, KY; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by step-sons, Aubrey Morris Witcher and Orville Wayne Witcher; brothers, Frank Victory and James Victory; and sisters, Vera Tinsley and Emmer Pearl Smith.

Funeral services for Ardith Mae Witcher were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Brawner and Bro. Frankie Calvert officiating. Burial was in Chestnut Point Cemetery.
