Funeral services for Rose Erlene Smith Donoho, age 94, of Donelson, TN, formerly of Macon County, were conducted Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church in Madison, TN with Elder Kenneth Massey, Brother Johnny Carver and Brother Henry Smith officiating. Her grandsons and grandsons-in-law served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.

Rose Erlene Donoho passed away on January 6, 2007 at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN.

Rose Erlene Smith Donoho was born on March 23, 1912, the daughter of the late Wayne and Ora Brooks Smith. She was married to Dewey Estes Donoho on April 4, 1931, who preceded her in death on December 5, 1986. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six sisters, Flora Smith, Lillian Smith Brooks, Clifford Doyle Smith, Leo Smith Canada, Winnie Halliburton, and Ruth Smith; and six brothers, Gilbert, Rupert, Gustie, Foster, James and Willard Smith. She was a retired Metro Employee at Two Rivers High School with 10 years of service and a member of Long Fork Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughters, Mattie Lee Massey, Donelson, TN and Helen (Jerry) Hooper, Franklin, TN; sister, Mildred Donoho, Brentwood, TN; grandchildren, Donna (Phil) Matthews, Greensboro, NC, Madelyn (Jamie) Millard, Lexington, KY, Elizabeth (Larry) Mound, Longwood, FL, Bob (Vickie) Hooper, Houston, TX, Cindy (David) House, Nashville, Terence (Jill) Massey, Franklin, Melissa (Russ) Lott, Brentwood, Jennifer (Larry) Harper, Old Hickory, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
