Robert Edward “Ed” Evitts, age 54, of Dixon Springs, TN, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 22, 2006 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville,

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kathy “Shorty” Evitts, Dixon Springs; two sons, Jason Evitts and Phillip (Jill) Dean, Dixon Springs; two grandchildren; his parents, Mr. Jack and Mrs. Robbie Evitts, Dixon Springs; and a brother, Rickie Evitts, Dixon Springs.

Funeral services were held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2006, 2 p.m., conducted by Bro. Dean Taylor. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Gregory, Douglas Gene Oakes, Billy Craighead, Tim, Michael and Daniel Towns and Billy Gregory. Active pallbearers were Roger Taylor, Tommy, David and Nathan Gregory, Chad Evitts, Blaine Reynolds, Darrell Wayne Wright and Roger Gann. Interment was in the Dixon Springs Cemetery.
