Inez Whitley Newberry, age 63, of Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. It was Mrs. Newberry's last request to be cremated and to have no funeral service.

She was born August 30, 1943 in Macon County, TN, the daughter of James Baskel and Mildred Lillie Donoho Whitley. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Whitley. She was a cashier for the Citgo in Red Boiling Springs, TN and a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughter, Shena (Kevin) Wilder, Red Boiling Springs, TN; sons, Channie C. Newberry, Jr., Newport, N.C., Anthony (Christy) Newberry, Red Boiling Springs, TN; sister and her companion, Mary "Cookie" Massey and Joe Gravins, Red Boiling Springs, TN; brothers, Donald Whitley and Wayne Whitley, both of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Billy (Louise) Whitley, Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren, Sean Anthony Newberry, Keanna Peek, Joe Wilder, Hannah Peek, Lillie Faith Wilder, Brittney and Lauren Nelson, Nick Davis, Courtney and Katie Hix.
