She was born in Champaign-Urbana, IL, on April 14, 1955, to the late Jack Leopold and the late Gertrude Day Watkins. She had been a seamstress in the garment manufacturing business.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Krantz of Lafayette, TN; companion, John Hale of Gamaliel, KY; sisters, Carlene Davis of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Irene Vericker of Tampa, FL, and Mary Ann Weiss of Colorado Springs, CO; two half-brothers, John Phipps of St. Louis, MO and Bill Phipps of Champaign, IL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Billy Jack Krantz.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, November 17, at 2 p.m. at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel with E.C. Meadows officiating. Burial was in the Gamaliel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve Cherry, Terry Bennett, David Scott, Troy Crawford, Stacey Hale, and Charles Ryherd.
