J.B. McClard, 64, of 596 Dry Creek Road, Scottsville, KY, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2006 at his residence. The Allen County, KY native was owner of McClard's Lawn Care, a Vietnam Army Veteran, a member of Highland General Baptist Church, former member of Graham Lodge #208 F & AM, former member of Halfrey Dalton VFW Post #5712, a former factory worker, a General Baptist minister having pastored Corinth and Mt. Carmel General Baptist Churches. He was a son of the late Coy Ray McClard and Bernice Lee McClard.

He is survived by his wife: Clara Marsh McClard, Scottsville, KY; son: Joe L. McClard, Scottsville, KY; daughter, Cynthia Armfield and her husband, Jerry, Scottsville, KY; 5 grandchildren: Carrie Mitchell, Cristie Mitchell, Chelasie McClard, Dylan McClard and Macey McClard; step-grandson: Joseph Armfield; great-grandchild: James Tyler Stanger. He was preceded in death by 8 brothers: Richard McClard, Arvis McClard, Clarence McClard, Bill McClard, and 4 infant brothers.

Funeral services for J.B. McClard were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Don Rhodes officiating. Burial was in Highland General Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Rites by the Barren County Dav.
