Funeral services for Veachel Dodson, age 79, of Westmoreland, TN, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2006 at Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Doyle Farris and Bro. Floyd Farris officiating. Interment followed in Crestview Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers were Michele Dodson, Sarah Dodson, and Candance Oliver. Active pallbearers were Aaron Dodson, Jonathan Oliver, Michael Dodson, Jamie Dodson, Billy Cothron, Donald Hix, and Barry Oliver.

Mr. Veachel Dodson passed away on October 17, 2006.

He was the son of the late Samuel Thomas and Tensceline Wood Dodson. He was married to Dorothy Lee Ferguson Dodson of Westmoreland for 59 years. He was a WWII Veteran, retired from Fleetwood Homes and member of Phillipi Church of Christ. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Dodson.

Survivors besides his wife include sons, Joel Dodson of Gallatin and Tommy Dodson of Westmoreland; daughter, Evelyn Oliver of Westmoreland; brother, Clyde Dodson of Hodgenville, Ky; sisters, Bernice Coop of Glasgow, KY and Sylvia Logsvon of Louisville, KY; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
