Board of Education to meet June 8

The Macon County Board of Education will meet in regular session on June 8, at 6 p.m. at the Central Office. The Internet Usage Policy for the schools will be reviewed at this meeting.

Laf. Planning Comm. to meet June 13

The Lafayette Planning Commission will meet Tuesday, June 13, at 6 p.m. at Lafayette City Hall. The public is invited to attend.

Fried Pie Contest June 17

The Lafayette Lioness and Lions Club are sponsoring Hillbilly Days June 15, 16, and 17 at Key Park in Lafayette. The Fried Pie Contest will be held Saturday, June 17, at 1 p.m. at the back pavilion of Key Park. Entries will be accepted from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Categories are fried apple pie and fried variety pie. Two pies have to be entered in each category you enter. The Department of Human Services will take food/canned/toiletry items at the DHS office during the week of through June 9, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The office is located at 315 Highway 52 E Bypass.

Texas Boot Employees reunion June 10
