Funeral services for Mrs. Leatrice Wilkerson Shrum were scheduled for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at the Nave Funeral Home in Lebanon with Rev. Kenneth Trammel officiating. Interment followed in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens in the Defeated Creek Community of Smith County. Honorary pallbearers were Harold, Ronnie, Randy & Jimmy McDowell; Dusty Watson and Tim Guinn. Active pallbearers were Jerry Watson, Jerry Parrish, Kevin Ivey, Bill Daniel, Larry Guinn and Cecil Wrye.

Born December 22, 1921 in Davidson County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Lee and Valley Odell Jenkins Wilkerson. She worked for many years at Blue Bell Boots and was a member of the Shop Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Britton Shrum and a daughter, Tammy Shrum.

Mrs. Shrum passed away Sunday, May 21, 2006 at her home at the age of 84.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Carolyn White of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Sherrie White of Orlando, FL; Cindy White of Murfreesboro, and Rick (Melanie) White of Chattanooga; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Micah Westmoreland; and a sister, Frances Orrand of Lebanon.
