C. A. “Jimmy” Gammon, 83, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at his residence. The Macon County, Tennessee native was a manager at Kroger and Houchens Markets, past owner of L. & N. Market in Smiths Grove, a former employee of R. C. Bottling Co., and a part time employee of Jim Johnson's. He was a member of First Free Methodist Church and Odd Fellows and was past chairman of the bloodmobile. He was a son of the late Joseph C. Gammon and Letha Leath Gammon. He was preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Earlene Tabor Gammon; a daughter, Deborah Neelan and her husband, Jeff, of Scottsville, KY; a son, Danny L. Gammon and his wife, Janet, of San Antonio, TX; 2 sisters, Hazel Haley, Bowling Green, KY; and Loretta Duncan, Lafayette, TN; 5 grandchildren, Sean Lee Gammon and his wife, Tina; Shane Gammon, all of San Antonio, TX; Chad Gammon ; Deirdre Rainville and her husband, Chad, all of Bowling Green, KY; Traci Wilkinson and her husband, Jay, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for C. A. “Jimmy” Gammon were conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2006 at Hardy and Son Funeral Home in Bowling Green with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
