Seven grievances filed against Macon County Board of Education

Jackie Pope, UniServ Coordinator for the Tennessee Education Association (TEA), presented seven grievances to the Macon County School Board during their regular meeting held last Thursday, March 9.

The grievances were on behalf of Ms. Deborah Sharp, a Westside Elementary School teacher who was suspended without pay after criminal charges were filed against her for child abuse in January of this year.

Under the current contract negotiated and agreed on by teachers and the Board of Education, TEA represented Ms. Sharp to present the following grievances:
