Evelyn Ruline Wix, 73, of the Wixtown Community, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tennessee. The Macon County, Tennessee native was born Monday, July 11, 1932, a daughter of the late Mitchell Frye and Vona Harp Frye, and was a homemaker. She was united in marriage on January 16, 1946 to William Douglas Wix.

She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Doug Wix; a daughter, Paulette Blankenship; 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Roger and Wanda Wix; Rocky Wix; Kirk and Sonia Wix, all of the Wixtown Community; a daughter-in-law, Trish Wix, of the Green Grove Community; 10 grandchildren, Troy Wix, Michael Wix, Casey Stovall, Jason Wix, Allison Turner, Janice Anderson, Janet Wilson, Rachel Bowling, Chad Blankenship, and Shelby Wix; 21 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Wix, a brother, Odis Frye, and 2 sisters, Jewell Dean Cole and Sadie Wix.

Funeral services for Evelyn Ruline Wix were conducted at 10 AM Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at Miller’s Chapel General Baptist Church with Rev. Harold King officiating. Burial was in Miller’s Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Michael Wix, Bucky Stovall, John Anderson, Willie Bowling, Mike Wilson, and Chad Blankenship. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Wix and Troy Wix.
