Lafayette Quarterback Club to meet

The Lafayette Quarterback Club will be holding there monthly meeting Feb. 2nd at the Old Field House at the Football Field. The meeting will start at 7:00 oclock. We will be discussing up-coming events, Members old and new are urged to attend.



Library Board to meet February 8

The Macon County Board of Library Trustees will meet Wednesday, February 8, at 1 p.m. at Macon County Public Library.

Macon Co. Democrat Party to meet Feb. 2

The Macon County Democrat Party will hold it’s monthly meeting Thursday, Feb. 2, at 6 p.m. at the Justice Center. The changes in the by-laws will be available for discussion and study. Also final preparations will be made for the county Democrat Caucus that will be held February 11, at 12 noon at the Justice Center.

MCHS to hold benefit concert for Clay Family

Macon County High School will perform a benefit concert for the Clay Family on Thursday, February 2. The Clay family lost most of their possessions in a house fire that occurred on Friday, January 20. The concert will be performed at the High School Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds will go directly to the family and their rebuilding efforts.

Road block for Deputy Tim Wright Feb. 4

The MC Rescue Squad and the Lafayette Fire Dept. will hold a 4 stop road block Sat., Feb. 4, to raise money to help Tim Wright who was a member of both organizations until a recent illness caused him to resign from both organizations.

LES to hold parent teacher conference Feb. 7

Lafayette Elementary School will hold a parent teacher conference Tuesday, February 7, 3-6 p.m.

Macon County Board of Education to meet Feb. 9

The Macon County Board of Education will meet in regular session on Feb. 9, at 6 p.m. at Lafayette Elementary School.

Joint Economic & Comm. Dev. to meet Feb. 13

The Macon County Joint and Economic and Community Development Industrial Board will meet Monday, February 13, in the courtroom of the courthouse in Lafayette.

GED classes to have next test Feb. 18

GED classes have started back. The next GED test is scheduled Feb. 18, at MCJHS in Lafayette. Register now, first come basis. For more information call 666-2125 and speak with Brenda Eller or Janet Evetts.
