Funeral services for Ruby Delno Webb Smith, age 99, of Corpus Christi, TN, and formerly of the Webbtown Community were conducted Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Brother Jeremy Wilson officiating. Interment followed in the Jenkins Cemetery. Her family and friends served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Smith passed away Saturday, December 31, 2005 at Spohn Shoreline Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX, after a fall in the nursing home.

She was the daughter of the late Bedford and Molly Jenkins Webb. Besides her parents, her son, Kenneth Smith and brothers, Clayton Webb and B.C. Webb, Jr. preceded her in death. She had worked in First Church of the Nazarene, where she was a member, as a Sunday School teacher and did Bible Study in her home for 30 years. She was a member of the Trinity Nazarene Church for the past 10 years of her nursing home stay. She also had many family and friends from North Dallas Nazarene Church where she and her son, Kenneth, served fifteen years before coming to Corpus Christi.

She is survived by two brothers, Earl Webb, Lake City, FL, Vestal Webb, Seattle, WA; sister, Gladys Linville, Mt. Juliet, TN; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Smith, Corpus Christi, TX; four grandchildren, Brenda (Gary) Cunningham, Corpus Christi, TX, Kenda (Gary) Steckel, Luling, LA, Kenneth (Judy) Smith, Mathis, TX, Glenda Smith, Luddington, MO; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
