Georgie Lee Tuck, 89, a resident of Hartsville Comprehen-sive Care Center, and formerly of Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2006 at Trousdale Medical Center in Hartsville. The Macon County, Tennessee native was born Saturday, November 18, 1916, a son of the late William Smith Tuck and Mamie Shrum Tuck. He was a retired farmer and member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by 2 nephews, Timothy N. Tuck, Tampa, Florida; and Martin T. Tuck, Athens, Ohio; a step-sister, Lula Belle Cox, Lafayette, TN; and a number of cousins. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas R. V. Tuck.

Funeral services for Georgie Lee Tuck were conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 3, 2006 at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Eld. Guthrie Thompson officiating. Burial was in Hillsdale Cemetery. Pallbear-ers were Ott Gregory, John Shrum, Gus Fisher, G. W. Cox, Jerry Cox, Timothy Tuck, and Martin Tuck.
