According to Detective Jimmy Hardin, the sheriff’s department responded to the residence at approximately 6 p.m. Monday night, January 2.
The man was reportedly shot in the left shoulder with a high powered rifle.
Detective Hardin stated that he did not believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the shooting. Two witnesses to the shooting are being interviewed by the police department.
The male was air lifted to Vanderbilt where he remains in critical condition.
The shooting remains under investigation at this time.
Also at the scene, were Deputy Leslie Moss, Sgt. Kimball Hall, and Sheriff Joe Ferguson.
