Bulldogs Fall to Jackson County



The Red Boiling Springs Junior High Bulldogs entertained the Jackson County Blue Devilson Thursday, October 27th. Jackson County is a new addition to the Bulldogs district in high school, so this meeting was the first of many more to come in the next 5 or 6 years. This game appeared it could go either way, but in the end the Blue Devils would have the last laugh as they defeated the Bulldogs by a final score of 34-29. This was the Bulldogs first loss of the season, as their record dropped to 2-1 overall. John Smith led the Bulldogs in scoring with 8 points. Jake Stiles added 7 points, while Wes Grace and Andrew Mullinix dropped in 6 points each. Shelton Watson rounded out the scoring with 2 points on the night. Watson was the teams leading rebounded, pulling down 7 boards. Wes Grace led the team in steals with 3 on the night. The Bulldogs now turn their attention to theTip-Off Classic the gets under way tonight, as the Bulldogs take on the Eagles of Westmoreland at 8:30 PM.
