Will T. Dixon, 80, of the Sycamore Valley Community and formerly of the Difficult Community, passed away Monday, October 3, 2005 at his residence. The Jackson County, Tennessee native was born Wednesday, April 1, 1925, a son of the late Aster E. "Boss" Dixon and Patsy Sircy Dixon, and was a retired farmer. On June 24, 1940 he was united in marriage to Gracie Lee West Dixon, who preceded him in death on October 8, 2004.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Gerald Donoho, of the Sycamore Valley Community; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Dixon, of the Difficult Community; 3 sisters, Lecta Pearl Sircy, Gainesboro, TN; Sally Bell Thomas, of the Gladdice Community; and Irene Cook, Hartsville, TN; 6 grandchildren, Charlotte Day, Allen Dixon, Timothy Dixon, Bridget Silcox, Cynthia Dixon, and Joseph Dixon; and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Will John Dixon and Jerry Dixon, 3 brothers, Bedford Dixon, Hubert Dixon, and Ottis Dixon, and 4 sisters, Ann Woodard, Altie Mullinax, Nettie Scott, and Georgie Holmes.

Funeral services for Will T. Dixon were conducted at 4:00 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Eld. Terry Austin and Eld. Wayne Gregory officiating. Burial was in Pirtle Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Joseph Dixon, Allen Dixon, Timothy Dixon, Troy Day, Thomas Dixon, and Lannie Thomas. Honorary pallbearers were Dustin Silcox and Anthony Martin.
