Lafayette Clean-Up Fix Up Week October 10-14

The City of Lafayette will have Clean-Up Fix Up week October 10 through October 14. Look for more information in future editions. For items not normally picked up by the Sanitation truck, you may call City Hall at 666-2194 for pick up during the week. The City will not pick up wire, ties, woods, limbs, rock, brick or any item still containing freon.

Macon County Chamber Existing Industry Lunch Oct. 14

The Macon County Chamber of Commerce Existing Industry appreciation luncheon will be Friday, October 14, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Key Park. Lunch will be BBQ, slaw, beans and a drink. In case of rain it will be at the Citizens Bank main office on the By-Pass.

Macon County Planning Comm. to meet Oct. 18

The Macon County planning committee will meet Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 6 p.m. in the courtroom of the courthouse. The public is invited to attend.

The Macon County Health Council will meet Oct. 18, at the EMS building at 12 p.m.

Fairlane to have parent teacher conference Oct. 24

Fairlane Elementary School will have their Parent/Teacher conference on Monday, Oct. 24, from 3:15 to 6:15 p.m. All parents are encouraged to attend.

MCHS to host college night Oct. 24

Macon County High School will host a college night for all students, parents, and anyone in the community interested in furthering their education Monday, Oct. 24, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

RBS Fall Festival Oct. 21

The RBS Elementary Parent Teacher Organization is sponsoring a Fall Festival at the Red Boiling Springs Elementary School on Friday, Oct. 21 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be games for the children, face painting, a cake walk and a silent auction.

Lafayette Merchants’ Fall Edition Southern Days Cruise In

Lafayette Merchants’ Southern Days Cruise in Fall Edition will be held Oct. 22, show and shine, 2 p.m . to 6 p.m., after 6 p.m. cruise till ?? This is a non-judged open show. All makes and models and “in progress” are welcome. Door prizes give away. For more information call 666-8225 or 666-4623.
