Mrs. Barbara Jones of 878 Mack Hollow Road (Westmoreland) reported her vehicle stolen at 11 p.m. on May 30 to Macon County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Durham. The vehicle, a 2001 Nissan Altima, had been taken from her driveway, the keys being left in the ignition.

The vehicle was later found after a one vehicle accident on Popular Grove Road. The accident is being investigated by Trooper Danny Fisher.

The vehicle had been traveling north on Popular Grove Road and had run off the left side of the roadway and flipped once, coming to rest on its wheels in a corn field. The driver of the vehicle is unknown.

Trooper Fisher was assisted by Deputies Jesse Gentry and Jason Durham. This case is still under investigation.
