According to a report from the Macon County Sheriff's Department, on March 21 at 12:15 a.m. Deputy Grant Malo and Lafayette Police Officer Timothy Hackett were approached by Antonio Argario. He stated that he and his friends had just been robbed at their home on Jones Hollow Road.
Argario stated that two men came into the house with a pistol and a ball bat and demanded they give them money. The two men also broke the telephone so no one could call the police.
The report stated that after showing Argario a photo line up he identified Ladd as one of the men. Ladd reportedly entered the home with a gun and told the young man to hold the bat. The other person has been identified as a 17-year-old juvenile.
The victims reported the men left in a blue truck. Ladd was later found with a blue truck.
A total of $800 was stolen from four people. Ladd was charged by Detective Gammons. His court date has been scheduled for April 12, with a bond of $11,000. He remains at the county jail.
