Willie Propes, 68, a resident of The Palace in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette. The Macon County, Tennessee native was born Thursday, March 5, 1936, a son of the late James Elisha Propes and Christine Williams Propes.

He is survived by 4 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law, Lela Storey; Inez and Randall Williams; Gail and Randy Fleming, all of Lafayette, TN; Estelle and Glen Frye, Portland, TN; a brother, Jerry Propes, of Lafayette, TN; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Austin, and a brother, Lester Propes.

Funeral services for Willie J. Propes were conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Jack Honeycutt officiating. Burial was in Roark Cemetery. Pallbearers were Nathan Fleming, Donny Austin, John Dotts, Barry Frye, Terry Frye, and Tim Cook.

Alexander-Goad Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN was in charge of arrangements.
