On February 7, Lt. Bryon Satterfield was notified by Captain Phil Russell that he was at the residence of Hilda Donoho, age 85, and he had conducted an interview with Ms. Donoho. She reportedly had several bruises on her face and shoulder area. She was taken by ambulance to the emergency room where the bruises were photographed. Lt. Satterfield and Detective Stacy Gann arrived at the ER and continued the interview.
She allegedly told authorities that some of the wounds she had sustained by falling but several of the bruises had come from being assault by her son, Dickie Donoho.
The District Attorney was contacted by Lt. Satterfield and the case was presented to the Macon County General Hospital on February 14th. A sealed indictment was handed down by the grand jury on Donoho for willful and physical abuse.
Donoho was served with the indictment and did appear before Judge J.O. Bond in criminal court Thursday, February 17. His case was continued until June of 2005. He remains at the Macon County Jail without bond. He also is charged with violation of probation. He was currently on state probation for past drug charges.
