Arnold Wilson "Shorty" Polston, age 87, of 748 East Maple Street, Scottsville, KY, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005 at the Cal Turner Extended Care Facility. The Macon County, TN native was a former of Lafayette Manufacturing and Kentucky Flooring, a retired employee of Dollar General and a member of Meadorville Missionary Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Walter Bates Polston and Sweetie Hesson Polston and husband of the late Tishia Vinson Polston.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Connie Polston, Scottsville, KY; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, B.D. Polston and Forrest O. Polston; and two step-daughters, Bernice Davis and Jernice Sexton.

Funeral services for Arnold Wilson "Shorty" Polston were held Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Goad Funeral Home with burial in Macon County Memorial Gardens.
