Raymond J. Violett, 83, of Shepherdsville, KY passed away at his home on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004.

He was a retired self-employed plumber, a decorated Army veteran of World War II and a member of The Gospel of Kingdom Church.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Martha L. Henderson; four children, Don Violett of Central City, KY, Peggy Haddock of Lafayette, TN, Wayne Violett of Alvaton, KY and Judy Violette of Louisville, KY; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005 at Hardy-Close Funeral Home in Shep-herdsville, KY with burial in the church's Campground Cemetery.
