According to a report from Assistant Chief Evans, the RBSPD received information that Negron had several items in his possession that reportedly were taken from Dollar Store.
Approximately $2000 in merchandise was stolen from the store. Damage to the store safe was estimated at $300 and damage to the store was estimated between $3000 and $5000.
Negron was brought into the police department and was questioned. He reportedly did not admit his involvement in the break-in. He did turn over to the police the items he had in his possession.
Negron was charged with theft over $1000. His court date is set for February 9, with a bond of $12,000. He reportedly made bond but was picked up by Officer McDonald later that day for outstanding warrants in Monroe County. He reportedly remains in custody in Monroe County.
