Olene Wix, Annie Hollow Road, reported that her 1968 Chevrolet truck had been stolen. She reported that a white wrecker drove onto her property and then drove off with the truck.
This case was turned over to Detective Mark Gammons. Authorities at the sheriff's department stated that Detective Gammons located the vehicle in Allen County late Monday night.
The second vehicle was reported stolen on Monday, December 6. This report was taken by Deputy Larry West. His report stated that he was dispatched to Carthage Road to take a report of a stolen vehicle. Upon his arrival he met with Ralph Freeman.
Freeman advised Deputy West that sometime between 5:30 p.m. on December 5 and 7 a.m. on December 6, someone stole a 1994 Chevrolet truck that belonged to Cortez Adams. The vehicle was parked in a barn on Carthage Road. Also taken was a 16' Tandem Trailer. The trailer was attached to the truck. Several items were on the trailer including carpet and flooring. A total value of the truck is $5800, value of items stolen $2000, and the trailer was valued at $900. A total loss of $8700. This case is still under investigation by the Macon County Sheriff's Department.
