LES reports a break-in

Lafayette Elementary School Principal Carl Gregory reported a break-in at the school on November 1st.

According to Lafayette Police Lt. Bryan Satterfield, at 9 a.m. on November 1, the principal of LES contacted the LPD and reported that several items had been stolen from the school.

Upon arrival at the school, it was discovered that forced entry was made into the library. Taken from the library was a Sanyo digital camera, a Sanyo DVD player. After further investigation, authorities discovered that a Gateway laptop computer was also missing. The items taken were estimated at $2,200. Evidence was collected at the scene and is being processed. This case is still under investigation by the LPD.
