Tigers win in triple overtime
The MCJH Tiger team traveled to T'Ville Ky on Saturday to compete in the TN-KY Border War.
This annual game pits teams from northern Tennessee against teams from southern Kentucky. The Jr. Tigers went up against Glasgow in what turned into an exciting game.
Glasgow was the first to score putting 8 points on the board in the 1st quarter. The Tigers put together some nice drives but were unable to get the ball into scoring position forcing them to punt back to the Glasgow team. At the half the Tigers were down 8-0.
That's the way the game came to an end forcing the two teams into overtime. After putting additional time on the clock three times the Tigers came away with a 20-14 victory.
Kyle Grace was 5 for 10 with 50 yards. Casey Gilpin had 8 carries with 21 yards; Lance Reid had 11 carries for 30 yards; Alan Whitaker had 6 carries with 8 yards; Christain Crabtree had 2 carries for 2 yards; Daniel Slaughter had 1 reception for 18 yards; and Joey White had 4 for 32 yards.
This put the MCJH Tiger record at 3-0.
