Billie Wayne McClard, 63, of 606 Courthouse View, Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at the Alvin York Veterans Administration Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Allen County, Kentucky native was born Friday, August 16, 1940, a son of the late Coy McClard and Bernice Shockley McClard. He was a construction worker, a United States Army Veteran, and a member of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Allen County, KY. On August 14, 1958 he was united in marriage to Betty Lou McClard.

He is survived by his wife of over 45 years, Betty Lou McClard, Lafayette, TN; 3 sons, James Richard McClard, Lafayette, TN; Jimmy Wayne McClard, Chicago, Illinois; and Timmy Lane McClard, Washington, D.C.; a brother, J. B. McClard, of Allen County, KY. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Arvis McClard, Richard McClard, and Clarence McClard.

Funeral services for Billie Wayne McClard were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 18, 2004 at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Rev. Clinton Davenport and Eld. Joe Tom Stinson officiating. Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery.

Alexander-Goad Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tennessee was in charge of arrangements.
